Spanish Police Arrest Man Who Threatened to Kill as Many Gays as in the Orlando Massacre

Spanish Policia Nacional agents have arrested a 36-year old man in the city of Mataró for threatening and encouraging hate crimes against LGBT people in Barcelona, Spain.

Agents have seized a toy 9mm replica. Very similar to a real firearm, with which he recorded and posted several videos on social media, encouraging others to commit hate crimes against Gays, Lesbians and Transgender people.

He then threatened to repeat a massacre like the one in Orlando, FL.

In one of his tweets, he encouraged people to “shoot homosexuals in the head or treat them worse than animals” ABC Spain reports.

The man, whose identity was not revealed, will now face between 1 to 4 years in prison and a fine of up to 30,000 EUR (£25,000 GBP or $33,000 USD)
